House of Bid
The auction house you own
House of Bid is the consumer auction marketplace: timed and live bidding, proxy bids, anti-sniping, checkout, and bidder notifications — with a reseller revenue-share model instead of a listing-fee treadmill.
Every lot deserves a real auction.
What it does for you
Timed and live, one house
Timed auctions that close on the clock and live auctions with real-time bidding — the two formats, run by the same engine, under one roof.
Proxy bidding, honestly enforced
Set your max; the engine bids the minimum needed to keep you winning. Anti-sniping extends the close when bids land late — no more losing to a 3-second snipe.
A bid log you can replay
Every bid is a serialized, replayable event. Disputes get settled by the log, not by customer support archaeology.
Resellers share the revenue
The reseller model: bring the lots, share the revenue. The house grows when its sellers grow — not by charging them to list.

What they offer vs everything we offer
HiBid is the established online-auction platform — real auctions, real bidders, and the features the format demands. House of Bid is the same format owned outright: your house, your bidders, your revenue share — buyable, not just rentable.

Is House of Bid live?
It's in beta. The live-bid loop is built — per-lot bidding engines, real-time fan-out, proxy bids, anti-sniping, the replayable log. Checkout is in Stripe test mode and live payment processing isn't implemented yet; houseofbid.com is registered and the production attach is next.
What's the reseller model?
Resellers bring lots to the house and share the revenue instead of paying listing fees. The house grows when its sellers grow — the incentive points the right way.
Timed vs live — which should I run?
That's exactly what our article walks through. The short version: timed for reach, live for energy — and the lots that deserve both get both.
How do I know bidding is fair?
Every bid is a serialized event in a replayable log: who bid, when, how much, in what order. Anti-sniping extends the close on late bids so nobody wins on a technicality. Disputes get settled by the log.

Timed vs live auctions: when each wins
Two auction formats, two different psychologies. Timed auctions maximize reach; live auctions maximize energy. Here's how to choose — and why the lots that deserve both should get both.
