QuickStudy Mobile

Spaced-repetition flashcards — SM-2, CSV import, no paywall on the learning.

QuickStudy Mobile is spaced-repetition flashcards done honestly: the SM-2 algorithm, CSV import for your existing decks, and the study modes free — because the paywall was never the pedagogy.

The algorithm is free. It always was.

What it does for you

  • Real spaced repetition

The SM-2 algorithm schedules each card at the edge of forgetting — the method with decades of evidence, not a streak gimmick.

  • Your decks come with you

CSV import brings your existing decks over — including the ones you exported from the apps that started charging.

  • Study modes, not paywalled

Learn and test modes are the product, not the upsell. No daily caps, no “rounds remaining.”

  • Free means free

No subscription, no ads in the study path. Students are the customer, not the product.

Capabilities

  • SM-2 spaced-repetition scheduling
  • CSV deck import
  • Learn and test modes — uncapped
  • Deck management and tagging
  • Progress stats that mean something
  • Offline study
  • No ads in the study path

Proof, not adjectives

In design
SM-2 scheduling, CSV import, and deck management are specified — building toward a first mobile release.
Evidence-based core
SM-2 is the published spaced-repetition algorithm with decades of research behind it — the scheduling isn't invented here.
Free by design
The pricing is a design constraint, not a launch promo: free, with no paywalled study modes, from day one.

What they offer vs everything we offer

Anki is the free, open-source gold standard — powerful, and famously fiddly. Quizlet is easy — and meters the learning. QuickStudy is the third option: SM-2 scheduling with an interface that doesn't require a manual, and no paywall on the study modes.

Questions, answered honestly

Is QuickStudy really free?

Yes — that's the design constraint, not a launch promo. No subscription, no ads in the study path. If a paid tier ever exists, study modes stay free.

Why not just use Anki?

Anki is excellent and free — the gold standard for spaced repetition, and we say so plainly. QuickStudy exists for everyone who bounced off Anki's setup: the same SM-2 scheduling with an interface that doesn't require a manual.

What about Quizlet?

Quizlet's free tier caps Learn and Test modes; Plus is $7.99/mo or $35.99/yr. If you're happy paying, stay. QuickStudy is for students who want those modes without the meter running.

Can I import my Quizlet decks?

CSV import is the supported path — export your decks as CSV and bring them over. One-click importers for specific apps are on the roadmap, not promised.

When does it launch?

It's in design, building toward a first mobile release. Join the list and you'll hear when the beta opens.

Does it work offline?

Yes — offline study is a core feature. Your cards live on your device; sync is a convenience, not a requirement.

Spaced repetition is the most evidence-backed study method we have — and the apps keep putting it behind subscriptions. How SM-2 actually works, what the paywalls cost, and how to study free without settling.
