IndexNow & publish

Ping IndexNow and run the publish pipeline on cutover.

SEO OS dashboard — crawl rotation and index gate checklist

Note

IndexNow & publish is the search-discovery step of Creytix Ship — what happens to a page the moment it goes live.

Overview

When a page goes live or changes, Creytix doesn't wait for a search engine to notice on its own schedule. The publish pipeline runs on cutover, and pings IndexNow-participating search engines for the changed URLs right away — so new and updated pages get a chance to be picked up faster than waiting on a scheduled crawl alone.

How it works

  1. On publish, Ship runs the publish pipeline for the pages that changed.
  2. Changed URLs are pinged to IndexNow-participating search engines as part of that pipeline.
  3. Ping status feeds back into your Creytix SEO OS workspace, alongside your other crawl and index-gate data.

Steps

  1. Ship a content or page change

Publish a change through Creytix Ship as you normally would.

  2. Confirm the publish pipeline ran

Check that the pipeline picked up the affected pages for this release.

  3. Check the IndexNow ping status

Look at which URLs were pinged and when.

  4. Cross-check in SEO OS

Review crawl and index-gate status in Creytix SEO OS to confirm the page was picked up.

Capabilities

  • Publish pipeline — runs automatically on cutover for pages that changed.
  • IndexNow ping — notifies participating search engines the moment a page changes, instead of waiting for a scheduled crawl.
  • SEO OS handoff — ping status surfaces in the same workspace where you already review crawl and index gates.

Limits & honest scope

IndexNow tells participating search engines that a page changed — it doesn't guarantee immediate re-indexing everywhere, and not every search engine participates in the protocol.

  • Faster discovery isn't a substitute for actual SEO practice — pinging helps a search engine notice a change sooner, it doesn't fix bad content or a thin page.
  • This is scoped to sites you already publish through Creytix, not a standalone IndexNow utility for arbitrary URLs.
