Dev overview
A BYOK hosted agent and dev bridge — ship from the control plane. Not a Cursor clone.
AI
Preview — early access. Creytix Dev is a BYOK hosted agent and dev bridge, still taking shape — here's what it's aiming at and what's usable today.
Overview
Creytix Dev connects the rules, context, and workflows already living in your Creytix workspace to a hosted coding agent — one you reach from the Control Panel, and eventually from tools like Cursor, Continue, or Claude, using your own model keys. It's deliberately not a Cursor clone: Creytix doesn't run its own IDE, and it doesn't front the token bill for every user's usage. You bring the model access; Creytix brings the workspace context and the path back to production.
How it works
- Bring your own key (BYOK) — you connect your own provider key; Creytix Dev routes your requests through it, not a shared, metered pool.
- Context gateway — your workspace's rules, active site, and relevant files feed into the agent's context automatically.
- Model tiers — pick a fast, balanced, strong, or premium tier depending on the task, still billed against your own key.
- Ship from the bridge — changes an agent makes route back through the same review and Ship gates as any other change.
Steps
- •
Connect your model keys
Open Creytix Dev in the Control Panel and add your own provider key to the BYOK vault.
- •
Pick a chat tier
Choose fast, balanced, strong, or premium depending on how much reasoning the task needs.
- •
Work with workspace context
The agent picks up your active site, workspace root, and relevant rules automatically — no separate setup per task.
- •
Route changes through Ship
Agent-made changes still go through the same review and deploy gates as changes made by a person.
Capabilities
- BYOK model access — connect your own provider keys; Creytix never resells your tokens.
- Model tier picker — fast, balanced, strong, or premium selection per task.
- Workspace-aware context — rules, active site, and repo context injected automatically.
- Multi-client bridge — reachable from the Control Panel web UI today, with external tools like Cursor, Continue, and Claude on the roadmap.
Limits & honest scope
Creytix Dev is in preview and taking shape feature by feature — this is not a general-purpose IDE replacement, and it does not offer unlimited AI usage on Creytix's side.
- You bring your own model access; Creytix provides the workspace context, rules, and shipping path around it.
- Multi-client support (Cursor, Continue, Claude bridges) and deep codebase indexing are still on the roadmap, not fully live today.
- Check the tier badge and the changelog before depending on it for production work.
