Creytix Tax is decision support for you and a licensed professional. It is not a CPA, enrolled agent, attorney, or tax-return preparer. Outputs are not legal, tax, or accounting advice. Do not file, elect, form, or pay from these pages without professional review.

Methodology

Rules first. Language second. A human last.

Tax math and eligibility live in @creytix/tax-rules as pure functions with effective dates. An LLM may later explain those results. It may never invent a wage base or file a form.

What every recommendation includes

Facts used, rule version, official sources, assumptions, status, effective date, and a professional-review required flag. If a fact is missing, the engine returns insufficient_facts instead of guessing.

What we will not build

Informational onlyInformational only. These twenty items stay refuse. They are product law, not a backlog and not a later-wave schedule.

The durable refuse list is twenty items in the rules package, rendered in full on /tax/wont-build and as a Research article at /tax/learn/what-we-will-not-build. This page does not keep a competing hand list.

Rates

The 2026 Social Security OASDI wage base used here is $184,500, sourced to the Social Security Administration contribution and benefit base page. Payroll-tax delta is self-employment tax versus FICA on a salary you type — not total tax savings.
