Creytix Notes

Notes that live on your device. No note-count, no ransom.

Offline notes with markdown-lite formatting and full-text search — unlimited notes, no account, no subscription tiers counting your words.

Write it down. Find it later. That's the job.

What it does for you

  • Unlimited notes, no asterisks

Some note apps now cap free tiers at 50 notes and one notebook — that's a trial, not a product. Notes has no note limit, no notebook limit, no 'upgrade to keep writing' wall.

  • Offline first, cloud optional

Your notes live on your device and open instantly with no signal. Full-text search runs locally across everything you've ever written — fast, private, always available.

  • Markdown-lite, not a learning curve

Headings, bold, lists, checkboxes, links — the 10% of markdown that covers 90% of notes. No toolbar archaeology, no proprietary format locking your words in.

  • Your words stay yours

No account means no one to sell your notes to, intentionally or otherwise. Export is plain text and markdown — leave anytime with everything, because there was never a lock-in to begin with.

What they offer vs everything we offer

Note apps used to compete on features. Now the free tiers compete on how little they give you — 50 notes, one notebook, one device. Notes goes the other direction: everything, free, on your device.

Questions, answered honestly

How is this different from Apple Notes?

Apple Notes is genuinely good and free — if you live entirely in Apple's world and don't mind the Apple ID. Notes adds markdown-lite formatting, works without any account, and keeps everything local-first with plain-text export, so your words are never locked to one ecosystem.

What does 'markdown-lite' mean?

The useful subset: headings, bold, italic, bullet and numbered lists, checkboxes, and links. Enough to structure any note, little enough that you never think about syntax. Everything renders as you type.

Is there really no note limit?

None. No 50-note cap, no notebook cap, no 'you've hit your limit' upsell. Notes are text files on your device — counting them to charge you would be absurd, so we don't.

What if I want my notes on two devices?

The local-first design means each device holds its own copy. Sync is the honest trade-off of the no-account model — the planned approach is export/import and standard file-based sync, not a proprietary cloud you rent forever.

Can I get my notes out?

Anytime, as plain text or markdown — formats every other app on earth can read. There's no proprietary database standing between you and your own words.
