Is Creytix Scan really free? What's the catch?
No catch in the app: no ads, no account, no paywalled features. It's a catalog product — free standalone, free inside the membership. Creytix makes money on the tools businesses rent, not on showing you video ads between scans.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. QR and barcode decoding is math that runs on your phone, so scanning, generating, and history all work in airplane mode. You only need connectivity if you tap a scanned link that points at a website.
What barcode formats can it read?
QR codes plus the common linear and 2D formats: UPC-A/E, EAN-8/13, Code 39, Code 128, Data Matrix, and the rest of the everyday set — product barcodes, tickets, Wi-Fi codes, contact cards.
Where does my scan history go?
Nowhere — it stays on your device in a searchable local history. There's no account to sync it to and no analytics pipeline watching what you scan.
Can it make QR codes, or only read them?
