Forge troubleshooting
Common Forge sticking points — the intake gate, naming, and prompt versioning.
Overview
Most Forge questions come down to one thing: something is gated, and it's not obvious why. This page collects the common cases.
How it works
Forge is deliberately gate-first — the Brand DNA lock exists specifically to stop a build before it commits to the wrong direction. Most "why can't I..." questions below are that gate working as intended, not a bug.
Common issues
"I can't scaffold past intake."
The Brand DNA lock gate hasn't cleared yet. Confirm a name is locked through Brand naming — scaffolding is blocked by design until it is.
"I picked a name but domain wasn't registered for me."
Brand naming checks domain availability; it doesn't register the domain. Register it yourself once you've picked a name.
"I need to change the locked Brand DNA."
Changing a locked Brand DNA means deliberately reopening the gate, not editing it live mid-build — treat it as a real decision, not a quick tweak.
"A regenerate used an old version of my prompt."
Check which version you're referencing in Forge Prompt Studio — versioning means a regenerate uses a specific version, not automatically "whatever it says now."
"Route classes don't match what I actually need."
Route classes reflect the patterns Creytix currently supports; if your brief doesn't fit cleanly, review and adjust the classification during intake rather than assuming it's fixed.
Limits & honest scope
This page covers Forge's own gates and tools — issues in Design Labs or Studio after hand-off belong on their own troubleshooting pages.
