Creytix Analytics

Visitor analytics and session insight — the Hotjar-lite lane.

SEO OS dashboard — crawl rotation and index gate checklist

Note

Creytix Analytics is part of Creytix Connect — the registry of self-hosted tools that replace the SaaS your marketing stack usually rents.

Overview

Creytix Analytics tells you what visitors actually did on your site — which pages they landed on, where they came from, and where they dropped off — without shipping a third-party tracking script to a vendor's dashboard. It's the visitor-behavior layer every site needs before it can make good decisions about content and layout.

Because Analytics runs on your own workspace, the events it captures stay with the site they describe instead of being sold onward as aggregate data.

How it works

Analytics is a lightweight capture-and-surface pipeline:

  1. Capture — a small tracking call on each page records visits, referrers, and page-level events as people browse your site.
  2. Aggregate — events roll up into session and page-level views your team can actually read, instead of a raw event firehose.
  3. Surface — the operator dashboard shows traffic and behavior trends for the workspace you're managing, alongside the other Connect tools.

Steps

  1. Confirm Analytics is enabled

From the Creytix Control Panel, open your workspace and select Analytics under Connect. New workspaces ship with capture on by default.

  2. Let traffic accumulate

Analytics needs real visits to have anything to show — there's no historical backfill for a brand-new site.

  3. Read the dashboard

Check top pages, referrers, and visit trends for your workspace from the same panel you use for the rest of Connect.

  4. Act on it

Use what you see to prioritize content and layout work elsewhere in Creytix — Analytics informs, it doesn't auto-apply changes.

Capabilities

  • Visit and page tracking — see which pages get traffic and where visitors come from.
  • Session-level insight — understand behavior at the level of a single visit, not just raw pageview counts.
  • Workspace-scoped dashboard — traffic data lives next to the site it describes, in the same Control Panel as the rest of Connect.
  • No third-party script — capture runs on infrastructure you control, not a vendor's tag manager.

Limits & honest scope

Creytix Analytics is built to answer "what is happening on my site" for a team already running that site in Creytix — not to be a full product-analytics or heatmap suite.

  • There is no session-recording or visual heatmap layer today — this is the Hotjar-lite lane, not a pixel-for-pixel replacement.
  • Historical data starts the day capture is enabled; there's no way to backfill traffic from before that point.
  • Advanced funnels, cohort analysis, and A/B test wiring are not part of this tool yet. Check the tier badge and the changelog for what's shipped.

We would rather tell you what Analytics doesn't do yet than have you expect a heatmap that isn't there.
